Stendahls: Co-creation of a shared vision

The Context

In 2014, the Swedish communications agency Stendahls celebrated its 60th anniversary. Despite a long history and a strong market position, there was a clear recognition of the need to prepare the organization for the future. Stendahls wanted to strengthen its position and rethink its purpose for the next phase—and therefore reached out for support in charting a course forward.

The Process

Together with Stendahls, we launched a collaborative initiative focused on developing a shared vision for the agency’s future. Over the course of two intensive days, all 100+ employees actively participated in shaping the vision.

Through facilitated dialogues and exercises, we worked to identify the core of Stendahls’ identity, ambitions, and values. The vision was crafted as a living guide—not a static goal—with room for ongoing dialogue and adjustment as the organization evolves.

The work was based on themes such as direction, purpose, and values, and provided a common language and a clear direction across the organization.

The results

This collaborative effort resulted in a clear and unifying vision that gave Stendahls a strong foundation for navigating a changing communications landscape. The vision became an integral part of the organization’s culture and served as a driving force for both innovation and strategic decisions.

By consciously working toward their shared vision, Stendahls reaffirmed their ambitions and strengthened their role as an organization committed to making a positive difference—both within the industry and in society. The vision continues to serve as an active guiding principle in shaping the years ahead.

"Thomas is an excellent facilitator and has a natural talent for his field. I would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone who needs help facilitating groups as they tackle shared challenges—or who wants to learn more about team and leadership issues."
— Henrik Segergren, CEO of Stendahls
