TV2: Facilitated innovation across the organization

The Context

TV2 has a clear ambition to be one of the most creative media companies in Denmark. When they reached out to us, they were looking for new and innovative ways to engage the Danish public and tell the stories surrounding the upcoming parliamentary election in ways that combined traditional media with digital channels and services. At the same time, there was a desire to develop new structures and ways of working that could support creativity across the organization.

The Process

We helped TV2 design and facilitate a creative process across the organization, with the aim of harnessing the company’s collective creative capacity and translating it into concrete, innovative concepts.

Along the way, we explored new forms of journalism, interactive media, and technology to spark inspiration and open the door to new ideas. Several concepts were developed, tested, and evaluated. Using simple tools and methods, we introduced project managers and journalists to ways in which they could lead and foster creative collaboration and produce innovative results in their daily work.

The results

  • A catalog featuring more than 25 innovative concepts.

  • Selected concepts were prototyped and tested with users.

  • Several ideas were directly incorporated into existing structures.

  • The tools and methods were incorporated into the teams’ daily work.

"We had a truly wonderful experience with Thomas Reibke and grew both as a group and as individuals. In very concrete ways, he showed us that the secret to developing good ideas isn’t really a secret at all. Today, I know how to inspire creativity. It’s not always easy to live up to—but it’s reassuring to have a new set of tools. I use them everywhere I go."
